Indian Boarding Schools

It is a dark part of our Nation's history... Boarding schools that housed children who were taken away from their families and forced into manual labor, forced to leave the life they knew behind, and forced to conform to something that was completely foreign to them. 

We at YDFO recognize that we have had the luxury of being comfortable in our ignorance as to how Indigenous and POC's have been dehumanized and exploited throughout our nation's history. We have the opportunity to learn from the past so that it is not repeated.
